As the mandatory filing deadline set by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) rapidly approaches, MIC Customs Solutions is proud to announce its first US Entry Summary and Cargo Release filings in ACE. Earlier this month, MIC's US customers began filing the first Import Entries in ACE using the newly developed MIC-CUST® Import US module; the start of over 500,000 US entries expected in 2016.

"It is exciting to see our new module filing productive entries, after months of hard work. Volumes will quickly ramp up in the coming weeks in anticipation of CBP's Feb 28th deadline. This is a great addition to the MIC product portfolio," said Joe Blaskiewicz, US Import Support Manager of MIC Customs Solutions - Americas.

After years in development, ACE will become the mandatory system for Customs and Border Protection (CBP) entry filing on February 28th, in accordance with President Obama's single window initiative. There has been much controversy over the deadline, particularly as Partner Government Agencies (PGAs) work to ensure their ability to accept the necessary data electronically, via the ACE portal.
