A European wide EMCS Solution for a worldwide leading tobacco product manufacturer

JTI - Japan Tobacco International is a leading international tobacco product manufacturer, with a global market share of almost 10 %.

When it was announced that from January 1, 2011 onwards EMCS will become compulsory for movements of excise goods under duty suspension, JTI decided to look for an EMCS solution which fully integrates into SAP, their ERP system, while handling their extensive international operations.

Soon, JTI discovered that MIC was the only company that was able to fulfill all of their requirements. JTI decided to implement MIC´s Solution in Austria, Hungary, Romania, Greece and the Netherlands.

Today, MIC EMCS is integrated into JTI´s daily business and they are benefiting from increased compliance with legal requirements, the automated creation of the e-AD and the standardization of processes and work flows.
