Centralized and standardized customs solution platform as SaaS model in place

Europe's second largest carmaker decided to prolong its contract with MIC about a centralized and standardized global customs solution platform for another 5 years until 2020.

Today, its installation is operated on MIC's Software as a Service (SaaS) environment and comprises import, export, bonded warehouse, inward processing relief as well as outward processing relief functionalities for several countries. With regards to exports the customer is benefiting from the Single Authorization for Simplified Procedures (SASP) with France as the supervising member state and several EU countries to be covered as participating member states. Furthermore, MIC's central customs tariff classification system (MIC CCS) is in use as well.

In addition MIC is more than happy to announce that Europe's second largest carmaker signed in May 2015 the contract to implement MIC's global origin solution covering the solicitation of long term supplier declarations via MIC's supplier web-portal.

The prolongation of this contract together with the decision of implementing MIC's global origin solution proves again our quality, dependability and competence in the global customs & trade compliance area.
