After the successful introduction of MIC’s customs filing solution MIC-CUST® Import & Export for the Swedish car manufacturer in China and Malaysia, we rolled out our export control solution MIC ECM (Export Control Management) in the US and EU.
With the roll-out of MIC ECM for the US and EU market, we introduced a software solution for managing all company transactions under export control law. The software module allows the Swedish car manufacturer detailed checks of business transactions and the central administration of all information relevant for export control. Our software module enables embargo checks, the determination of licensing requirements including license management and the check of dual-use and end use.
Furthermore, the export control solution is integrated with MIC DPS for denied party screening. This enables the car manufacturer to screen against sanctions lists based on a configurable screening algorithm and configurable screening profiles. Daily updated content of sanctions lists for US and EU is provided by MIC’s Global Trade Content Service (GTCS).
The export control process is now up and running – and the Swedish automobile manufacturer clearly benefits from an effective risk management tool leading to increased export compliance!
