MIC SAP Interfaces
Use MIC SAP Interfaces to integrate SAP ERP with the MIC GTM Software Suite

MIC SAP Interfaces is MIC’s product to integrate SAP with the MIC Customs and Trade Compliance software modules. This allows for collecting data from SAP and sending it to MIC to be used in foreign trade and logistics processes. It furthermore enables sending back response messages to SAP, writing back data to SAP or triggering processes in SAP.
MIC SAP Interfaces connect the SAP modules SD, MM and PP with MIC, providing data for import declarations, export declarations, origin calculation and export control, as well as master data.
The implementation of MIC SAP Interfaces gives you the advantage of the use of SAP standard logic, including vast possibilities for customizing and being in line with your processes as much as possible.
Benefits
Certified Interfaces
When using MIC Customs and Trade Compliance Software, you can rely on MIC's certified SAP Interfaces (SAP S/4HANA) when integrating with your SAP ERP system
Streamlined Processes
MIC SAP Interfaces enables streamlined processes for export, import, origin and export control, as well as master data, due to leveraging SAP standard logic with vast customizing possibilities to fit your requirements
Increase Compliance with Automated Data Collection
Automating data collection ensures full compliance with trade regulations, reducing manual processes, audit risks and potential fines
Highlighted Product Features
Integrates with MIC's FTA management system
Supports sending long-term supplier declaration and solicitation requests, customer declaration requests and bill of materials (BOM) information from SAP to MIC OCS. It triggers MIC OCS calculation requests out of SAP, sends price data to MIC CCS and receives and processes origin calculation results from MIC OCS in SAP.
MIC SAP Interfaces certifications
MIC SAP Interfaces are certified by SAP (SAP S/4HANA), this includes meeting the Cloud Operational Requirements for S/4 private cloud. For more information, please see the SAP Certified Solutions Directory.
Accelerates import, export and special customs procedures
It fully integrates with MIC-CUST® for import and export customs declarations, as well as special customs procedures. It allows for sending data on stock movements, or transfers into free circulation (e.g., from bonded warehouse, inward processing relief) but also US foreign trade zone (FTZ) inventory transactions. Furthermore, it delivers information on the status of a customs declaration (export) back from MIC-CUST® to SAP.
Connects SAP parts master with MIC's Central Classification System (CCS)
Connecting the SAP material master with MIC CCS enables smooth customs tariffs, as well as export control classification of your commodities. The classification results are not only available in the MIC CCS module but also mirrored to the SAP material master.
Enhances your export control management
MIC SAP Interfaces provides direct data exchange between your SAP ERP system and MIC's Export Control Management system (MIC ECM). It sends screening requests for business partners, as well as business transactions to MIC ECM. Screening results from MIC ECM are mirrored in SAP and by request blocks can be set either for business partners or documents.
Export Monitor for better visibility of the export declaration status
The MIC-CUST® Export Monitor provides the status of MIC-CUST® export declarations in SAP. It also enables printing of the related Export Accompanying Document (EAD) within SAP with no need to switch to the MIC software. For certain countries, an Import Monitor is available.
Business partners integration
MIC ALL for business partners transfers address master information from SAP Vendor, SAP Customer data (R/3) or SAP Business Partner data (S/4) to the MIC address master.
MIC SAP Interfaces support various SAP versions
MIC supports SAP “R/3” but requires at least SAP ECC 6.0 EHP 7 or higher. It also supports SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition.
MIC SAP Interfaces deployment options
MIC SAP Interfaces can be deployed on your SAP system by importing a Workbench Transport that MIC provides. Furthermore, it is possible to deploy the MIC SAP Interfaces as an add-on, via Addon Assembly Kit (AAK).
MIC SAP Interfaces technology
MIC SAP Interfaces relies on the following core features of SAP:
- SAP BAdi technology - for integrating MIC ABAP logic into the SAP standard process and triggering messages
- The SAP Output Control (NAST) feature – for integrating MIC ABAP logic into the SAP standard process and triggering messages (MIC-CUST, MIC INTRA, MIC OCS only)
- SAP BAPI technology - for modifying data in SAP documents and master data, based on response messages received from MIC
- SAP Output Control – for triggering messages based on SAP documents
- QRFC - to untie sending messages to MIC from the regular SAP processes, to avoid locks and wait times in SAP
- WebServices (SOAP)/WSDL – for creating the XML messages out of SAP data that are conform to the MIC standard interfaces
- SAP PI/PO/XI – your SAP middleware technology can be used to call the MIC webservices (SOAP) and send and receive data to/from MIC. No ABAP installations on PI/PO/XI are required; a PI/PO/XI forwards the XML messages as a whole. In the case of an on-premises installation of the MIC suite with SAP on the same network, no PI/PO/XI is required
MIC SAP Interfaces will never modify SAP standard ABAP code.
