Your job

• As a Platform Engineer, you are responsible for developing and operating tools and services of the internal developer platform
• In close collaboration with our product teams, you continuously gather feedback for improvement and adapt the tools to optimize them with a focus on self-service usage
• As an advocate of the platform’s solutions, you promote and support it to various internal stakeholders, for example product teams when launching new products
• In addition, you will support MIC‘s long-term strategic focus towards cloud-based solutions by transitioning services to the MIC Cloud Platform based on Kubernetes

Your skills and qualifications

• Completed education in IT (vocational high school for IT, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) and at least 3 years of professional experience in software development
• You are enthusiastic for innovation and new technologies
• You enjoy working in a motivated team to collaboratively drive sustainable software development and technical excellence
• You have experience in container virtualization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• You have experience with CI/CD and build tools (e.g. Jenkins,Gradle, Maven)
• You are familiar with principles and practices of DevOps/GitOps including Infrastructure as Code
• You have good programming skills (Java) and knowledge of cloud-native frameworks like Quarkus
• You have very good English skills (spoken and written)

Compensation
We are legally required to mention the compensation for this position. We offer a minimum salary of € 57.400 gross/year (38,5 hours/week, no All-in contracts) plus an employee bonus and numerous other benefits. Of course, we are adapting the compensation according to your experience and qualification.
