How we contribute

Our environmental, social, and governance (ESG)  strategy is grounded in the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aligned with MIC's business focus, company size, and corporate values. We have identified seven SDGs where our core processes have the greatest impact and translated them into MIC-specific focus areas, clearly defining how we contribute to these global goals.

Environmental

Affordable and Clean Energy

  • Decrease energy consumption of MIC especially concerning electricity consumption.
  • Have a sustainable energy mix at MIC.
  • Strive towards a sustainable energy at MIC's server hosts. 

 

Responsible Consumption and Production

  • Encourage regional and sustainable procurement for food, office supplies and events.
  • Improve waste management at the office and create a waste management policy

 

Climate Action

  • Monitor MIC's CO2 impact, raise employee awareness, and implement measures to reduce it.
  • Develop a smart mobility policy, including benefits for a sustainable up and down journey to work. 

 

Social

Health and Wellbeing

  • Provide a healthy work environment, work community and leadership by sustaining and further developing our smart2mic program and training.

 

Quality Education

  • Provide tailor-made quality education via our MIC Academy program and enable individual career paths.
  • Make a social impact and support lifelong learning initiatives outside of MIC.
