EU-wide start of EMCS on April 1st

On April 1st 2010 EMCS is going to start EU-wide. This means: traders concerned with movements of excise goods (alcohol, tobacco products, energy products) under duty suspension, are required to be able to receive electronic administrative documents and to confirm the arrival of goods. Starting in 2011, all dispatch formalities have to be conducted electronically on an EU-wide basis.
